June 24
 Artists & Authors Exhibit
Come explore Cornwall as a creative community from the late 19th century through the late 20th century through paintings, photographs, artifacts, and oral histories. The exhibit will also explore how Cornwall has maintained a sense of self and community with the influx of many cultural producers, such as Lewis Gannett and James Thurber, during the 20th century, and its influence on these creators of culture and artistic trends in America.
Visitors will also be encouraged to engage their creativity and consider their role in a creative community throughout the exhibit via interactive stations. Discover little known facts about Cornwall’s cultural history, and learn what is being done today to promote art within Cornwall’s community.
The exhibit will be open June 25th through October 31st, Saturdays 10:00 am – 4:00 pm. Sundays 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm, and holiday Mondays 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm.
The exhibit and related programs have been generously funded by the Buchanan Fund through The Community Foundation of Northwest Connecticut, National Iron Bank, and Torrington Savings Bank
