We are celebrating a wedding at Yelping Hill and would like to accommodate the overflow of guests nearby. Please contact Amanda at amandadora@riesman.com 917-771-6043 posted2/22/10 Help Wanted Uncle Sam is now hiring census-takers for the 2010 Census. Work will start in March but this is the time to sign up. The pay is $19.75 per hr. and 50 cents per mile, even for the 4-day training period. The work involves ringing doorbells of folks who for one reason or another didn't send back the Census questionnaire which everyone will receive in the mail around April 1st. You work locally and make your own hours. Other Census jobs are also available. The catch is that this isn't a career move, probably only a two- to four- week gig, but couldn't you or someone you know use up to $200 per day for a few weeks while performing an important function...making sure, among other things, that Connecticut gets our due representation in Congress (we got badly cheated in the 2000 Census)? There's a pretty simple test you have to take, held every week or so at the Cornwall Library and other nearby locations. If interested, call 866-861-2010 or 860-348-8180 to sign up for the test. You must be 18 or older to apply. Free Stuff Spinet piano. Needs tuning, includes bench. You haul it. 672-6077 posted 10/25/09 Miscellaneous Guitar Lessons. At your house or mine. $3000 / 2br - 1880's converted Railroad Depot
This is a perfect weekend getaway - just two hours from NYC. The historic building is on the Housatonic river (famed for fly fishing) in a quiet area on a small street off Route 7. There are two large rooms on the ground floor with a kitchen and half bath. Upstairs is a full bath, two bedrooms and an office/ living room with a fireplace. It would also be good for an artists studio or a small business. There's a local freight train that lumbers by once or twice a day or not at all. I'm asking $3000 for the whole property plus utilities or $1600 for the ground floor and the basement. I'm open to a share or other negotiable time arrangement.
