MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE
CORNWALL BOARD OF SELECTMEN

PRESENT: First Selectman Gordon Ridgway, Selectman K.C. Baird, Selectman Richard Bramley, Transfer Station Operator Stephen O’Neil
First Selectman Ridgway called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.
The Board discussed the need for a temporary bridge to replace the partially collapsed bridge over Lower River Road by route 128. Various options were reviewed and discussed.
The Board reviewed and discussed a budget transfer for the highway shed. First Selectman Ridgway made the motion to transfer $15,000 from Capital to Town Buildings, line 02-49092415, to facilitate the completion of the highway shed with door and floors. Selectmen Bramley seconded. Motion passed unanimously.
The Board interviewed candidates for the position of transfer station attendants.
The Board and Mr. O’Neil interviewed two candidates for Transfer Station Attendant.
Selectman Baird made the motion to close the interview process. Selectman Bramley seconded. Motion passed unanimously.
Three candidates were discussed for the position of Transfer Station Attendant.
First Selectman Ridgway made the motion to hire Ted Larson as Transfer Station Attendant per personnel policy and job description subject to six month probationary period. Selectman Baird seconded. Motion passed unanimously.
Selectman Bramley made the motion to hire Brian O’Neil and Michael Degreenia as temporary Transfer Station Attendants. First Selectman Ridgway seconded. Motion passed unanimously.
