SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CORNWALL BOARD OF SELECTMEN
Monday, February 9, 2004
1:00 p.m. - Town Hall
PRESENT: First Selectman Gordon Ridgway, Selectman K.C. Baird, Selectman Ken Keskinen, Park and Recreation Director Bethany Thompson and Park and Recreation members Phill West, Skip Kosciusko, Social Services Administrator Jill Gibbons
First Selectman Ridgway called the meeting to order at 1:05 p.m.
The Board and the Park and Recreation Director and members reviewed the map for the Foote purchase on route 4 discussing the lay of the land for facilities and fields, the costs of yearly maintenance and which budget line these costs may come from and grants available to help defray costs.
The Board and the Park and Recreation Director and members reviewed the Park and Recreation budget lines and discussed increases and areas reduced and fees that may help defray costs. The new ÒAfter SchoolÓ program was discussed, what it entails, its costs and fees and need in the community. Present activities were reviewed and discussed.
The Board and the Social Services Administrator discussed the Social Services budget, reviewing lines and present and anticipated costs.
Meeting adjourned 3:35 p.m.
