MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL JOINT MEETING OF THE

CORNWALL BOARD OF SELECTMEN WITH

THE PARK AND RECREATION COMMISSION

Monday, April 5, 2010

8:00 p.m. - Town Hall

PRESENT: First Selectman Gordon Ridgway, Selectman K.C. Baird, Selectman Richard Bramley, Park and Recreation Commission Chairman Ron Laigle, Jr and members Don Clark, Brian Kavanagh, Nick Pohl, Becky Hurlburt, Steve Saccardi and Margaret Cooley

The meeting was called to order at 8:04 p.m.

First Selectman Ridgway informed the Park and Recreation Commission he had received by e mail a letter of resignation from Park and Recreation Commission Director Bethany Thompson and that the Board of Selectmen had accepted the resignation.

The Board of Selectmen and Park and Recreation Commission discussed how to proceed in finding another director and what the time line should be in filling the vacancy. The Park and Recreation Commission presented the Board of Selectmen with a job description for the Director position.

The Board and Commission discussed the Foote Field outfield mesh fence and its replacement, the replacement of the storage building behind home plate, the occurrence of a fire in the pavilion at Foote Field, and the Gates Bequest.

There was a motion to adjourn, it was seconded and passed unanimously. Meeting adjourned at 8:20 p.m.
