Old Business:

The town has registered with Community Energy fulfilling another part of the Connecticut Innovations plan. This has also allowed us to receive a $5000 grant to be used for further education and now, in part, the Energy Fair.

Our Clean Energy sign-ons are currently registered with Smart Power at 54.5. John handed out phone lists to start campaigning by phone since the weather has gotten colder.

We need that number to be 87 to receive a solar panel.

Each new sign-on now receives a free CLF lightbulb.

Lightbulb sales are being carried by Baird’s and Berkshire over the winter.

Soon the Energy Task Force will be listed as a Civic Group on the Cornwall Website and our Logo, Mission, Resolutions and Minutes will be posted.

Richard Griggs will be working with Lazlo and Brenda Underwood to develop a website specific to cases and comments about Energy and Environmental Issues in Cornwall.

Nev provided a report on Fuels For 100,000 BTUs

Red oak would cost $.83

Bioheat would cost about $2.09 to $2.14

#2 Fuel Oil would cost about $1.89 to $1.93

Propane would cost about $191 to $2.18

CL&P would cost about $5.86which

We still need to see Hale Hill Farm in perspective if we are to make a town recommendation.

Workshops in the schools as Kathy West and Dr. Fitz have come up with wonderful materials and website, largely to the credit of Eastern CT State University’s Institute for Sustainable Energy.

Respectfully submitted,

Katherine Freygang
