EMERGENCY MEETING OF THE CORNWALL BOARD OF SELECTMEN
Wednesday, May 30, 2007
9:30 a.m. – Baird’s General Store in Cornwall Bridge
Present: First Selectman Gordon Ridgway, Selectman K.C. Baird, Selectman Richard Bramley
First Selectman Ridgway called the meeting to order at 9:30 a.m.
The Board met together to authorize First Selectman Ridgway to act on behalf of the Town of Cornwall in the execution of an application for the STEAP grant for the renovations of the West Cornwall Library in order to meet a deadline of Friday, June 1 with the State of Connecticut Department of Economic and Community Development.
Selectman Bramley made the motion, Selectman Baird seconded, to authorize the First Selectman Gordon Ridgway to execute an application, project finance, plan and budget and assistance agreement between the State of Connecticut acting by the Department of Economic and Community Development and the Town of Cornwall for a STEAP grant in the amount of $200,000 for the Hughes Memorial Library and to further authorize First Selectman Gordon Ridgway to execute any and all other documents in connection with the said grant required therein.
The Board discussed the grant.
Motion passed unanimously.
