OLD BUSINESS
Cornwall Consolidated School project update with John LaPorta
Mr. La Porta reported that the catch basins drain pipes and the gross particle separator is scheduled to be flushed and pumped out Monday Oct 9. A future schedule for regular pumping will be established after the initial pumping. Rip rap construction will be used for the stilling basin and the retrenching of the second storm drain. Bid packages will be sent out for the pumping and dredging of the fire pond. Bids are due back Oct 18 with the stipulation that project work is to be completed by the end of November. The water flow off the parking lots will be addressed with the relocation of the catch basins to better intercept the flow. This issue has been taken up with the first selectman’s office as a highway safety concern and is not really an inland wetlands issue. Karl asked that the office please be notified prior to commencement of work and requested that sedimentation and erosion control be included in bid packages for project work.
Application #471 J. Van Doren, Bradford Road to remove silt from pond
Steve made a motion to reject the application without prejudice as the applicant has not submitted additional information as requested. The motion was passed.
Karl Nilsen Update for Curt Hanson, Cornwall Hollow Road
Karl informed the Agency that he would be going up to the site with Sean Hayden and would like another opinion of the existing situation. He will have more of an update for November meeting.
Daifotis Application
The information presented to the commission was unclear with regard to the plot plan and the construction sequence that was requested last month was not submitted for review with the application. Doc made a motion to table the application and the motion was passed.
