MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE

CORNWALL BOARD OF SELECTMEN

Monday, December 1, 2008

7:30 p.m. - Town Hall

Present: Selectmen Gordon Ridgway, K.C. Baird and Richard Bramley.

Minutes of the November 18, 2008 meeting were approved unanimously on a motion by Richard Bramley and seconded by K.C. Baird.

Frederick R. Scoville, III, was appointed to the Zoning Board of Appeals Alternate position on a motion by K.C. Baird and seconded by Richard Bramley. The vote was unanimous.

It was reported that First Selectman Ridgway will write the Connecticut Clean Energy Fund asking to delay installation of the solar electric panels at Cornwall Consolidated School until it can be confirmed that Cornwall has earned free a 7 kilowatt system due to its high green energy sign-up rate.

First Selectman Ridgway made a motion to spend up to $1,500 out of the Building Permit Account to erect holiday solar-powered lights on the tree at the Cornwall Bridge green. The motion was seconded by Richard Bramley and approved unanimously.

News of the Highway Department, an after-school program, and HVRHS Budget meetings were discussed.

BILL PAYMENT: Bills were paid in the usual manner.

The meeting adjourned at 9:00 p.m.
