Dear Cornwall Energy Task Force,
With the holidays, travel and various illnesses, people are pretty tied up this month. We will probably keep our meetings as an e-mail correspondence until after the first of the year.
That said, the Energy Fair could not have been more successful and there are some old business issues that we put on hold, and new business issues that have arisen from the fair and state-wide activities. Please think about these items so we can formulate a plan of action next year. As a summary here is the current list:
Old Business:
Solicit Mini-Grants for the Connecticut Innovations Program to promote clean renewable energy. This is a priority. Now that we have presented lots of info, lets see some ideas for Cornwall.
Tally up signees for Smart Power and apply for a solar panel (or 2) for the school, also a priority.
Develop educational programs with CCS and or Housie
Webpage Design- Richard
Collecting media reports about Cornwall- Anne and John
Possible public transport development
New Business:
Develop a NW Corner webpage in conjunction with Norfolk and other 20/2010 towns
Nicholas Xatziz would like to sponsor another house tour and event for those who could not make it the first time.
Brian Thomas of the Cornwall Association wants to set up a blog of energy issues
Sponsor a program at the library on reading your electric bill and how to effect it.
Sponsor a program at the library to show the warming of Connecticut with the producer, Jennifer Boyd.
Create a town footprint report so we can present a concerted plan
Have Very Happy Holidays,
Katherine Freygang, Chair
