MINUTES OF THE CORNWALL BOARD OF EDUCATION SPECIAL MEETING
HELD ON AUGUST 14, 2008 AT 9:00 A.M. AT
CORNWALL CONSOLIDATED SCHOOL

Board members present were: Barbara Gold, Chairperson; Phil Hart, Becky Hurlburt, Irene Hurlburt and Thomas K. Levine. Wynne Kavanagh was absent.

Mrs. Gold called the meeting to order at 5:05 p.m.

The Board has received two estimates to remove the downed maple tree, and the dead ash tree, both on the north side of the gym. The consensus was to ask Mike Root to take care of the trees. The “burned” branches on the maple tree at the school entrance were also discussed. It was decided to wait until spring to deal with that problem.

On a motion by Mr. Hart, seconded by Mrs. B. Hurlburt, the Board went into executive session at 5:19 p.m. to discuss ongoing teacher negotiations.

The meeting was adjourned at 5:19 p.m.
