MINUTES OF THE
SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CORNWALL BOARD OF SELECTMEN
Wednesday, April 18, 2007
9:15 a.m. - Town Hall
PRESENT: Selectman K.C. Baird, Selectman Richard Bramley, Highway Foreman Rick Stone, Finance Director Lisa Lansing
Selectman Baird called the meeting to order at 9:15 a.m.
COMMUNITY ENERGY: The Board discussed the 20% by 2010 Campaign and the two companies from whom green energy may be purchased. Selectman Bramley made the motion to sign up with Community Energy as the town office’s provider for renewable energy and be eligible for the incentive payments from Community Energy. Selectman Baird seconded. There was discussion. Motion passed unanimously.
BUDGET TRANSFER: The Board reviewed and discussed a budget transfer. Selectman Baird made the motion to transfer $8000 from contingency 01-466-100-00 to highway temporary labor 01-425-616-04. Selectman Bramley seconded. The Board discussed the need for the transfer. Motion passed unanimously.
STORM: The Board discussed the recent northeaster storm which hit April 15-16. The Finance Director updated the Board on the process of application to FEMA for funds to help with costs incurred by the storm.
The highway foreman Rick Stone updated the Board on damage to town roads caused by the storm. There is one road closure due to bridge damage. The Board and the Foreman discussed options to pursue in repair work. Other less major areas of damage were discussed.
The Board concurred that the town was fortunate the storm was not worse than it was.
Selectman Bramley made the motion to adjourn, Selectman Baird seconded. Motion was passed unanimously. Meeting adjourned at 10:10 a.m.
