Cream Hill Lake Club 5-6pm
In attendance: K. Freygang, D. Bennett, A. Scott
1. CCS Solar Panel Installation Report: Anne Scott
The three poles and trenches required have been installed and passed inspection.
Two phases remain. The first is the final installation and hookups and the second is the signing off of CL&P, the electrician and the power turned on.
Materials should arrive by 9/21 with installation the 28th unless postponed. The last phase is a 10 day process. So completion can reasonably be expected end-October or mid-November.
Pushes are needed to stay on track. Henry LaBalme made a call. Anne has been forthcoming and Katie will ask Bob Wall’s help to avert any further delays.
Katie will discuss community programs with the new principal, including the possibility of adding a tree for John Zinsser by an unearthed rock, made into a seat.
The “Fat Spaniel” Program will monitor kW usage and be used in school programs. Katie suggested a poster to fill in progress and will work on this.
Deb reviewed and landscaping program, discussed maintenance strategies and will discuss this with Phil Hart.
2. ARRA Grants: Katie attended a meeting of the Southern Region towns that featured a panel of foundation specialists who outlined the process and application requirements for these grants. They emphasized that this has yet to be modeled and that our proposals will be serving the OPM as examples as well as applications.
Anne emphasized that the requirements set forth by the Davis Bacon Act will also serve as a filter for applications and will be reviewed in New Britain on Wednesday 9/16.
3.
Other: 4 new sign ons were recorded as a result of our participation
in the Cornwall Agricultural Fair September 12, 2009. Katie spoke at
